History of Bilai Mata Temple:
The history of the temple is about 250 years old, there are many legends related to the history of the temple, the main one of which is the story of King Narhar Deo. In ancient times, the place where the temple of Blai Mata is now situated was a dense forest. King Narhar Deo was passing through the forest for hunting, when on the way he saw a herd of cats on a stone and King Narhar Deo’s horses were not able to move forward, then when the king removed the stone, a stream of water started flowing. When the king was sleeping, Bilai Mata appeared in his vision and said that it is useless to remove those cats and stones. The Goddess ordered to worship her at that very place. After that, when King Narahardeo performed the puja ritual at that place, the idol of the Goddess came up from the earth on its own.
